New Technology
We have two Protosthetics 3D printers. One in our Belpre office and the other in Columbus for our Mobile clinic. These printers are used to print our custom prosthetic sockets. A huge benefit of this is that we can have the printer working when we are out of the office. This also introduces additive manufacturing to our practice and helps hugely in reducing waste.
Direct Socket (Ossur)
Direct socket is a fabrication technique designed for transfemoral and transtibial users. This specialized technique allows the definitive socket to be fabrication directly on the patient’s limb. All Certified Prosthetists at Miller PO are trained in direct socket technology. This allows a patient to have a custom made socket fabricated within an hour and ready to be taken home same day.
Limber Unileg
Limber Prosthetics Unileg is a fully 3D printed prosthesis for transtibial users. This leg is fully waterproof, mudproof, and extremely durable. Originally, the Unileg was thought of as a shower leg or beach leg, but a majority of users prefer to use it as their daily use prosthesis due to its lightweight and smooth rollover.
Miller Prosthetics & Orthotics is the only Limber Partner in the states of Ohio and West Virginia. The Unileg can be billed to insurance, but is also available to be purchased as a secondary prosthesis.
Myopro
The Myopro by Myomo is a myoelectric controlled upper limb orthosis for patients with brachial plexus injuries, hemiplegia, and spinal cord injuries. The elbow and hand motors allow for powered elbow flexion/ extension and finger flexion/ extension to allow for grip.
Miller Prosthetics & Orthotics is a certified Center of Excellence for the Myopro device.
Click Medical Adjustable Socket
The Click adjustable system is a feature we can build into a prosthetic socket to accommodate volume fluctuations. This system is very helpful for patients who experience significant volume changes throughout the day or those with a bulbous shaped limb.
We fabricate click adjustable sockets in our Lab at the Belpre, OH location.
Microprocessor Knee Ankle Foot Orthosis
(KAFO)
The Ottobock C-Brace and Blatchford Tectus brace are two options of Microprocessor controlled KAFO’s. These devices are used to help those with hemiplegia, post-polio syndrome, and other lower extremity weakness regain their stability and confidence while walking.
Sstep by Elevate Medical
The Sstep is a great solution for individuals suffering from drop foot in situations where a brace cannot be worn. The sock has built in support that lifts the toes while walking. Patients will typically use this at the beach, at home, or any situation where they would be barefoot.
Overlay by Ethnocare
The Overlay sock by Enthocare is another form of volume management. The overlay is designed for both transtibial and transfemoral users, with both pin lock and suction/vacuum suspension. An air bladder allows the user to increase or decrease the pressure of the sock by pumping the valve on the side of the sock, allowing them to adjust at any point, without having to take off their prosthesis. The overlay can accommodate anywhere from 3-15 ply of socks.
Socket-less Socket by Martin Bionics
Martin Bionics Socket-less socket is a frame style socket with different options for straps and user adjustable mechanisms
Slingshot Bionics
Created by Jay Martin, CP. The Slingshot socket combines a strong lightweight frame, with adjustable uprights and straps to create a comfortable and less restrictive socket design.
